Why Passive House?
Passive House is the future of building. Its a concept initiated in Germany during the late 1980s and is gradually being taken onboard the world over. Building temperature can be maintained permanently at 20°C while air quality is excellent and space heating costs are about 25% those of a conventional design.Comfort is Number 1 in Passive House.

Is Passive House expensive?
In short.... not really! The initial outlay may be marginally more (10% and dropping) than conventional design but the savings (75%) guaranteed in space heating costs more than make up for it in the longer term. Add to that the healthier and better quality of air and you're on a winner.

Sample has been trained in Passive House envelope and systems and has met the exacting standards demanded by the Passiv Haus Institute in Darmstadt, Germany. He is a Certified Passive House Tradesperson and maintains ongoing contact with his colleagues at the Institute and with fellow PH Tradespeople here in Ireland. It is in the interests of both Sample and the Institute to follow, and where possible improve on, the already rigorous PH standards thus making your life even better.
